Across the border

Has it ever occurred to you that, beyond those borders,
there are men, women and children of God, just like you and me!

  • Men, struggling hard for their livelihood..
  • Men, saving their hard earned money, for a better tomorrow..
  • Men and women, procreating a future generation, that is free from the evil clutches of war and terrorism..
  • Children going to school, everyday, so that they could bring an end to their parent's poverty..
  • Teenagers, falling in love with their hearts and hoping for a way out of this forsaken place, before it eventually claims their lives..
  • Parents, worrying about their kids, if they would ever return home, safely or end up being blown into pieces by a suicide bomber..
  • Elderly people, reminiscing their good old days of Hindustan before partition..
  • and wishing "how these 70 odd years of separation could turn out to be a nightmare, from which, they are desperate to wake up from.."
  • Humanitarians, pleading for peace, and getting killed for no faults of their own..
And then, there are also terrorists, obviously, exploiting the vulnerable climate to their needs and creating a bed for war. War is a multi-billion dollar industry and its products cannot be exhibited only in the independence and republic day parades. It has to be triggered to create a tension and profit. And terrorism, just does that, perfectly.

Terrorism is absolutely condemn-able and a blot on the progress of the humanity. But war is just an upgraded and notorious version of terrorism. It has to be condemned too, equally.

And you thought war was like watching a cricket match soaked in nail biting finishes. But it doesn't work like that way, simply because you don't get to watch the tyranny of war through your eyes. Of course, we have those sympathizers, who readily type in "RIP", "JaiHind" in those comment boxes and feel that they have done a very patriotic duty for their country. If you really wanna know the pain, seek an army personnel's family and ask their honest opinion. And not to mention the financial strain, it puts on a nation like ours. Who knows, our battlefields could turn out to be the testing grounds for the untested nuclear arms. We have always been endowed with the right ingredients for the perfect recipe for a massive disaster, throughout history. The consequences could just be unimaginable.

And you cannot generalize a nation with a few of its terrorist groups and create a war-mongering barricade of inept journalists and stupid commoners, giving their moronic opinion on military policies of a nation. If you seriously wanna try that, you should have a look at your own nation's pathetic record of lynching and killing fellow country men, for a mere excuse of having hurt their personal sentiments, in the past few years. Maybe, we should go to war with ourselves, first to clear those terrorists in our home soil.

Humanity knows no boundaries. These borders were all conceived in our minds. They don't really exist. Someone across the border, thinks and acts the same weird way, as you do. Because, we are all of one species. We keep forgetting that basic truth, very often.

Say No to War and Stop watching media. You are better off, peacefully.
